ABOUT OUR FUNDING OPTIONS

Outward Bound Canada’s Youth Access Fund was created so that all youth, regardless of their financial situation, can access our life-transforming programs and realize their full potential. The Youth Access Fund acts as a subsidy that goes towards the tuition for most of our courses listed in our “Course Finder”.

Eligibility:

You are eligible to apply if you:

  • are between 12–25 years or age and currently living in Canada.
  • can demonstrate financial need and fall within the income eligibility criteria. (Regarding household income of their primary residence.)
  • understand the details of the course you are applying for, and are motivated to participate.

There is no deadline to apply – applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis as long as funds are available. First-time applicants receive priority!

FUNDING FOR INDIGENOUS YOUTH:

Do you identify as First Nations, Métis, or Inuit? You can also apply for our RBC Future Launch Leadership Award for Indigenous Youth.

FUNDRAISE FOR YOUR COURSE

Because we get many applications and only have so many funds to distribute, we strongly recommend and encourage applicants to consider raising funds for their course on their own! Click here for a copy of our Fundraising Kit to help you get started.
